According to the latest report from the National Institute of Statistics and Economic and Demographic Studies (INSEED) in Togo, the inflation rate showed a slight decline in August, settling at 6.6%. This decrease is significant after several months of increase since April.

Inflation in Togo experienced a slight decrease in August. This decline is attributed to reductions in various sectors. Several categories saw notable decreases, contributing to this downward trend.

Among the sectors that saw decreases, “Food and non-alcoholic beverages” registered a decrease of 5.3%. This category includes essential items such as basic food products, and the cost reduction in this sector significantly contributed to the overall decrease in the inflation rate.
