As tensions between Poland and Ukraine have escalated in recent days, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has predicted an intensification of friction between the two countries, as well as with other European capitals.

Relations between Poland and Ukraine have been marked by significant tension recently, causing concern among international observers. Several events in recent days have contributed to exacerbating these tensions, including Poland’s continued embargo on Ukrainian cereals, sharp remarks made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in his speech at the United Nations, Ukraine’s complaint to the World Trade Organization (WTO), and issues related to the delivery of arms.

The announcement of the cessation of Polish arms deliveries to Ukraine was particularly shocking to many international actors, as Poland had been considered one of Ukraine’s closest allies since the start of the Russian invasion. This diplomatic and economic entanglement has seriously strained bilateral relations.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov commented on these developments during a press conference. He predicted that friction between Poland and Ukraine would intensify, while also suggesting that increasing tensions were expected between Kyiv and other European capitals. Peskov emphasized that this escalation of tensions was inevitable, without providing further details on the reasons for this forecast.
