After President Bola Tinubu approved the ministerial lists submitted to the Senate, the new government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has taken shape. Following this step, President Tinubu assigned portfolios to the ministers whose nominations were approved.

The Nigerian President’s Communications Officer, Ajuri Nglale, publicly announced the list of portfolios in Abuja on Wednesday, August 16. The new government comprises 33 ministers and 13 ministers of state. The new ministers will be sworn in on Monday, August 21, 2023, in Abuja before assuming office.

List of Ministers in the New Government:

  1. Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy – Bosun Tijani
  2. Minister of State for Environment and Ecological Management – Ishak Salako
  3. Minister of Finance and Economy Coordinator – Wale Edun
  4. Minister of Navy and Blue Economy – Bunmi Tunji

  6. Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare – Tunji Alausa
  7. Minister of Solid Minerals Development – Dele Alake
