On the night of July 15th, after an exciting and culturally symbolic ceremony of the 3rd edition of the prestigious contest held at the Palace of Culture, Mr. Taba Jean-Christophe Roger was crowned Mister Ivory Coast 2023, succeeding Mr. Grié Dominique Michel, Mister Ivory Coast 2022.

Taba Jean-Christophe Roger, a 27-year-old accountant standing at 1.85m, is the Mister Ivory Coast 2023. He was unanimously elected on the night of July 15th during a grand ceremony held at the Palace of Culture in Abidjan. Alongside him, 15 runners-up were also chosen from a pool of fifty candidates to support the Mister in his tenure, which will primarily focus on the causes of out-of-school children.

“My social project is to help out-of-school children integrate into society or return to the path of education through various methods that we will implement in collaboration with the Ministry of National Education,” stated Taba Jean-Christophe Roger.

Initiated in 2021 by Lord Kommunication, the Mister Ivory Coast contest aims to promote Ivorian heritage through a combination of intellect and male beauty. The 2023 edition, which showcased the beauty and intellect of Ivorian youth, was marked by a nationwide spectacle centered around the theme “Culture and leisure as drivers of local tourism development: what opportunities for the youth?” The event also featured the notable presence of Dorcas Sery, Miss Ivory Coast 2005, who chaired the jury; Marlène Kouassi-Kany, Miss Ivory Coast 2022; Ursula Dutauziet, legal advisor; Daniela Emane, president of the Mister Cameroon committee and CEO of Miss Cameroon.

It is worth noting that among the prizes, Taba Jean-Christophe Roger won a vehicle provided by Sada Motors. He shares the podium with Akpoué Ange Aristide, a 23-year-old student, and Gnaman N’Cho Johann, a 27-year-old model, who were respectively ranked as the 1st and 2nd national runners-up. As for Kader Doumbia, a 22-year-old, 1.79m tall law student, he receives the sash of the 3rd runner-up and Mister Force 2023, while Ruben Bendjé, a 25-year-old entrepreneur standing at 1.80m, is awarded the jury’s special mention.
