On Saturday, July 15, 2023, Burkinabe influencer Daouda Toe mocked Ivorian influencer Emma Lohoues. According to the Burkinabe, the influencer doesn’t have a stable job and rents a house for 1.5 million FCFA.
In a Facebook post, the Burkinabe influencer targeted Ivorian actress Emma Lohoues, claiming that her landlord said she owed seven months of unpaid rent. He didn’t miss the opportunity to address the businesswoman, stating, “You don’t have a clear job, yet you rent a house for 1,500,000 FCFA and you come and make us believe it’s your house. I was working on it for months. Until you named the house ‘Ko Empire 17.’ What do people gain from this ‘showing off’?” he questioned. “I will also name my bedroom ‘Koglweogo 17’,” he chuckled.
As a reminder, the owner of the house rented by Emma Lohoues, Beaugars-Prince Touré, testified live to explain the statement from the influencer’s legal team.
In a video, the owner gave an in-depth tour of the house to the viewers, showing the extent of the damages caused by Emma Lohoues before leaving the house. “It’s not because I have something against this person. It has nothing to do with it, and she is someone I admire, someone I respect. But when you respect someone, that person should also respect you. When you trust someone and they betray you, it hurts,” he said.
