Just becoming a mother, singer Sessimè mourns the death of her father, Charles Juste Guédou, who passed away on April 10, 2023.
A week after the birth of her son, the Beninese singer Sessimè expressed her sadness for her father’s absence by her side. “These past few months have been very difficult for me; a real challenge to face the great pain of losing my dad and the exceptional joy of the grace of being a mother!” wrote Sessimè on her Facebook page on Thursday, July 27, 2023.
According to her, the absence is profound, and she would have wanted her father by her side now. “Dad!!! I would have loved for you to still be here to see the magnificent result of what you prayed for so much for years, because yes, your prayers were answered before you left this world, but you couldn’t touch with your hands this ‘worst divine grace!'” She expressed her gratitude and said, “Thank you for everything, Father! I miss you.”
Singer Sessimè gave birth on the night of Wednesday, July 19, to Thursday, July 20, 2023. According to BENIN WEB TV, Sessimè is the mother of a baby boy, whose name and father have not yet been revealed.
As a reminder, Sessimè’s pregnancy was announced by BENIN WEB TV in February 2023. Before that, in December 2022, the singer publicly admitted that she was in a relationship with Beninese singer Nikanor. This announcement was confirmed by Nikanor during his appearance on TVC’s K’Fé Week-end show in December 2022.
