In a statement on the website of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), the president of the organization, Patrice Motsepe, extended his warm congratulations to the national teams of Morocco, Nigeria, and South Africa for their historic qualification to the round of 16 in the Women’s World Cup 2023.

The CAF leader expressed admiration for the exceptional performances of the Super Falcons of Nigeria, the Lionesses of Morocco, and the Banyana Banyana of South Africa in this edition of the Women’s World Cup 2023, taking place in Australia and New Zealand.

Patrice Motsepe stated that these teams have brought great pride to their respective nations and the entire African continent through their well-deserved victories. He also expressed optimism about the future of women’s football on the continent.

“The future of women’s football on the African continent is promising,” said the South African leader. “The victories and successes of the Nigerian, Moroccan, and South African women’s teams will significantly contribute to the development and growth of women’s football in Africa,” he added.

CAF thus wishes the best to the teams of Nigeria, Morocco, and South Africa for their upcoming matches in the competition, hoping that their journey continues and continues to shine the colors of Africa in this prestigious international tournament.
