In a powerful statement released on his Facebook page this Thursday, August 24, 2023, the legendary former Cameroonian footballer Samuel Eto’o Fils, President of the Cameroonian Football Federation, expressed his determination to restore the greatness of Cameroonian football.
Known for his achievements on the field and his commitment to the youth, Eto’o is ready to take on the challenge and overcome the obstacles that stand in his way. Therefore, the President of the Cameroonian Football Federation, who has been facing allegations of mismanagement for several weeks, reiterated his recognition of the importance of his African identity and presented himself as a true soldier of the continent.
“My name is Samuel Eto’o Fils. I am Cameroonian from here, from afar, from every millimeter of the ‘Continent’. The sap of all our identities flows in my veins. I have even been honored with the dignity of an ‘African soldier’ by Nelson Mandela. Peace and serenity to those who support me in my project to restore the greatness of Cameroonian football. We are enduring the violence of adversity, but let’s not succumb to it,” he stated.
Facing adversity and challenges, Samuel Eto’o remains calm and resilient. He asserts that despite the difficulties, he will not yield and will confront them with courage. “We may stumble in front of obstacles, but we will keep moving forward. If we ever fall, God will give us the strength to rise and move forward again. Our intentions are noble, our strength is our faith in a better future for our young footballers,” Samuel Eto’o clarified.
In his message, the President of the Cameroonian Football Federation insists that he addresses all Cameroonians, from the towns of Mokolo to Yabassi, from Foumban to Tongolo, from Akonolinga to Bamougoum, passing through Bokito and even Pitoa, to encourage them and express his gratitude.
