In a statement released on Tuesday, Real Madrid announced the definitive transfer of their young player Antonio Blanco to Deportivo Alavés. The 23-year-old midfielder had been on loan to the same club last season.
“Real Madrid CF and Deportivo Alavés have reached an agreement on the definitive transfer of player Antonio Blanco. Real Madrid wishes to express its gratitude and affection to Antonio Blanco and wishes him, as well as his entire family, good luck in this new stage,” reads the publication from the Spanish club.
Antonio Blanco joined the Real Madrid academy at the age of 13, and his journey with the club has been remarkable. Making his debut with the first team during the 2020-2021 season, Blanco quickly caught the attention of supporters with his elegant playing style and exceptional vision on the field.
The 2021-2022 season was memorable for the young midfielder as he had the opportunity to actively participate in two major competitions: the Champions League and La Liga. His contribution was a key factor in Real Madrid’s conquest of these two prestigious titles. In total, Blanco played six matches with the first team of the Merengues before going on loan to Cadiz, where he gained experience and maturity.
His successful spell at Cadiz allowed him to prove himself at the highest level. Last season, Antonio Blanco continued to flourish during his loan at Alavés, where he was one of the key players in the team, demonstrating his ability to orchestrate the game from the midfield and contribute to both offensive and defensive phases. It is at this club that he will now continue his progress.
