According to information from the French newspaper L’Équipe, Akim Zedadka, the Algerian right-back from Lille, is reportedly getting closer to a move to the Spanish championship.
After experiencing a difficult six months at LOSC, Zedadka was loaned to AJ Auxerre, where he had a more successful period. However, upon returning to Lille and under the guidance of coach Paulo Fonseca, the 28-year-old player does not seem to fit into the plans of the Portuguese coach. His departure from the north of France has become essential for the Fennec, who could head to Spain.
Indeed, the defender is of interest to Cadiz, which is looking for a player to strengthen its defensive line. But the team that finished 14th in La Liga last season is not the only contender for the Algerian. The Turkish club Gaziantepspor has also expressed interest in the Pertuis-born player, who has already made 66 appearances in Ligue 1 during his career.
Akim Zedadka’s destiny seems to be written outside of Lille, and he may well embark on a new adventure in the Spanish or Turkish championship, with Cadiz or Gaziantepspor, respectively.
