According to information from Fabrizio Romano this Friday, Bayern Munich has reached an agreement with Al-Nassr for the transfer of Sadio Mané.
About a year ago, Bayern Munich signed Sadio Mané for 32 million euros, as a replacement for Robert Lewandowski, who had moved to FC Barcelona. However, the Senegalese player’s first season was a complete failure. Between injuries and locker room issues, the reigning African champion only played 38 matches in all competitions, scoring 12 goals and providing six assists. These performances did not convince his club to keep him for a second season.
Placed on the transfer list, Mané has been linked for days to a move to Saudi Arabia, to join Al-Nassr, which already boasts Cristiano Ronaldo in its ranks. The former Liverpool player will indeed be joining the Saudi Pro League club. According to Fabrizio Romano, both clubs have reached an agreement, and the 31-year-old striker, who still had two years left on his contract in Bavaria, will undergo his medical examination once all the documents have been verified. The transfer fee has not been disclosed.
Al-Nassr is continuing its massive recruitment this summer, following the arrivals of Seko Fofana, Marcelo Brozovic, and Alex Telles. It’s safe to say that the level of the Saudi Pro League for the upcoming season promises to be high.
