Senegalese players seem to be fond of the millions offered by Saudi Arabia. After Sadio Mané, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Edouard Mendy, Idrissa Gueye is also rumored to be heading to the land of black gold.
It appears that Saudi Arabia is not done shopping in the den of the Lions of Teranga. Following the footsteps of Sadio Mané, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Edouard Mendy, the country of black gold is now eyeing Idrissa Gueye.
According to FootballWhispers, the newly promoted club Al Ahli dreams of acquiring the Senegalese defensive midfielder. The Saudi club is considering making an offer of 2 or even 3 million euros to Everton to convince them to let the former PSG player join the Arabian Peninsula team.
On his part, Gueye would not be against this opportunity to have a golden end to his career. At the age of 33, the player has little left to prove on the field. As the reigning African champion, the Senegalese has also won three Ligue 1 titles, three Coupe de France trophies, and one Coupe de la Ligue.
His experience and talent could prove beneficial to the midfield of Al-Ahli. This deal is certainly one to watch closely, as Idrissa Gueye’s potential move to Al-Ahli could be one of the major episodes of the transfer market.
