Residents of the two villages near the city of Goré (Chad) are completely bewildered. Three individuals were found murdered in the streets during the evenings of August 13th and 14th, 2023.
According to letchadanthropus-tribune.com, two young Arab herders were the initial victims. These adolescents left Kaba Rouangar heading towards Goré. A group of around twenty individuals intercepted them on the road between Kohbourdjeté and Balla.
The criminals first killed one of the young men and then ordered the second to call his family to inform them of the location of the bodies for retrieval. “He called his older brother to inform him of his situation, but the latter thought it was a joke. Eventually, the family found the two bodies where the young man indicated,” the source reports.
On the evening of August 14th, another 22-year-old farmer was also killed by a group of 13 individuals suspected to be criminals, dressed in military clothing, in the village of Kobo, located 13 kilometers from Goré.
According to a witness, the group appeared when the victim and four children were present. Warning shots were fired. The frightened children fled. One of the children present stated that the group of criminals took the victim, tied him up, and then slit his throat.
