In Togo, unidentified armed individuals opened fire on a Lebanese national and his wife, who is Moroccan, during a brutal attack that occurred on the night from Saturday to Sunday.

According to information provided by witnesses and reported by several local media outlets, the incident took place not far from the Ecobank headquarters in Bè. The assailants targeted the vehicle of a Lebanese man who owns the prestigious “Phoenician” restaurant.

The shooting began near the Ecobank headquarters and continued to the Bè-Plage roundabout, where the armed individuals eventually managed to immobilize the vehicle. The Lebanese national was fortunate to escape unharmed from the attack, but his Moroccan wife was kidnapped. The vehicle’s driver suffered serious injuries.

Upon their arrival, law enforcement secured the area before conducting a standard investigation. An inquiry has been initiated to determine the exact circumstances of this traumatic attack and apprehend the assailants.
