A total of 684 new young Togolese volunteers, selected for their expertise in various fields by the National Volunteer Agency of Togo (ANVT), took an oath last Thursday during a solemn ceremony held in Lomé.
It’s the start of a new wave of volunteers in Togo. 684 new young individuals have recently committed to putting their skills at the service of the collective well-being of the Togolese nation for a period of two years.
These skillful volunteers, also known as National Skillful Volunteers (VNC), were carefully chosen from unemployed graduates or first-time job seekers, both men and women, who have demonstrated proven skills during their academic studies.
After this crucial step, the 18th wave of VNC will be deployed throughout the national territory before starting their mission next September. Their skills cover a wide range of crucial areas, from education to health, community development, law, and justice.
Under the watchful eyes of senior officials from the Ministry of Local Development, Youth, and Youth Employment, the swearing-in ceremony was imbued with a sense of hope and excitement. Yawotse Vovor, Chief of Staff, emphasized the importance of this form of volunteerism, describing VNC as a true learning and sharing force. This unique approach to voluntary engagement offers young Togolese an invaluable opportunity to contribute to the country’s development while enriching their own skills.
Beyond mere promises, these volunteers embody tremendous potential for Togo. They will be agents of change in their respective communities, bringing a breath of renewal to public institutions and civil society organizations. Their innovative projects, creativity, and dedication will make them key actors in sustainable and inclusive development.
This exceptional initiative, launched by ANVT, paves the way for a new era of cooperation and solidarity between young Togolese and their nation. It underscores the importance of giving young people the opportunity to use their skills to shape a better future.
