In Togo, the National Union of Hospital Practitioners of Togo (Synphot) has taken the initiative to launch a campaign to raise awareness among healthcare workers about the consequences of poor patient reception in hospitals.
Since the beginning of this week, Synphot has initiated a nationwide awareness tour aimed at bringing healthcare workers together to discuss recommendations from the Health Sector Working Group. At the heart of these discussions is the issue of poor patient reception in Togolese hospitals.
This national tour, undertaken by Synphot, began on August 14th in the Golfe prefecture and will extend to cover 20 public healthcare facilities. Among them are the two university hospital centers, CHR-Lomé-Commune, Bè Hospital, as well as several Medical and Social Centers (CMS). The main objective of this initiative is to stimulate collective reflection on the living and working conditions of hospital practitioners, while addressing poor practices and reception issues within healthcare facilities.
This initiative is giving rise to renewed hope within the population, which was already concerned about the reception of healthcare workers in hospitals. The increasing mobilization of Synphot highlights the crucial importance of rethinking and improving working conditions in healthcare institutions. The ongoing actions reflect a collective determination to create a future where patients can receive attentive and dignified care.
