In Togo, over a month after the announcement of the results of the BAC 1 and BEPC exams for the 2023 session, candidates now have the opportunity to file grade appeals.
From August 15th to August 28th, 2023, candidates for the BAC 1 and BEPC exams for the 2023 session can initiate the process of appealing their results. This is according to the recent circular note published by the education authorities.
Indeed, the authorities are providing candidates with the option to contest their results. The period for grade appeals is a crucial time for candidates who wish to challenge their results. As the excitement of the exams subsides and minds regain clarity, some candidates might identify errors or inconsistencies in their results. Whether it’s an administrative mistake or an unfair evaluation, this phase provides a welcomed opportunity to rectify such situations.
As a reminder, this opportunity arises in accordance with the provisions of decision 087/MEN-R/SG/DEx-CC dated June 30th, 1998, which governs grade appeals for school exams in the country.
