Threatened by Davido after the publication of a photo of her with the mother of the Afro-Beat star’s daughter on the internet, Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has filed a complaint.
Relations are no longer smooth between Nigerian Afro-Beat stars Tiwa Savage and Davido. They have even unfollowed each other on Instagram. It all started with a post of Tiwa Savage and Sophia Momodu, the mother of Davido’s daughter, on Instagram.
The famous Nigerian singer sent threatening messages to Tiwa Savage’s manager. He also intimidated the manager in the streets of Lagos. The singer further reveals that Davido also sent her messages through their mutual acquaintances. “He is also trying to turn this conversation around by insinuating that I am the aggressor. He also asked our mutual contacts to warn me to be careful in Lagos because he plans to ‘demolish’ me,” she said.
“This is beginning to look like a form of online and offline harassment, not only towards me, but also towards members of my team,” she added.
In conclusion, Tiwa Savage indicated that she even asked Davido to cut off contact with her, despite having been by the singer’s side when he lost his son a few years ago. However, her plea fell on deaf ears and feeling endangered, the singer has officially filed a complaint against her colleague, emphasizing the serious implications of these threats on her life and dignity. Tiwa Savage explained to the police that if something were to happen to her, Davido should be held responsible. The police have confirmed receipt of a request from the Nigerian artist and stated that they will conduct investigations.
