Most of the time, when we finish squeezing lemons, we throw away the peel and pulp. However, this is a mistake. The pulp and peel can be used for other things around the house.

The acidic pulp of this citrus fruit can help freshen up your trash can. To make this tip effective, mix four tablespoons of lemon zest with one teaspoon of baking soda, four tablespoons of lemon juice, and half a tablespoon of iodized salt. Mix these ingredients until you have a homogeneous liquid, then pour it into a silicone mold. Freeze for 24 hours until the mixture solidifies. These small ice cubes should be placed directly in the trash can to deodorize it.
