The leaders of the Bloc Républicain (BR) party held an extraordinary congress on Saturday, September 9. At the end of the proceedings, the members of the national executive committee were designated.
Following changes that occurred in the leadership of the Bloc Républicain party a few months ago, the leaders and members of this political party gathered on Saturday, September 9, at an extraordinary congress in the Blue Hall of the Palais des Congrès in Cotonou.
The goal of the party, symbolized by a rearing white horse, is to adjust the party’s statutes to the previous changes in leadership and the subsequent appointment of Minister of State Abdoulaye Bio Tchané as president until 2026.
During the proceedings, the congress attendees defined the strategies to be adopted for the mobilization of members in preparation for the 2026 electoral competitions. The party also took this opportunity to reaffirm their unwavering support for President Patrice Talon.
It is worth noting that this extraordinary congress of the party also allowed for the designation of other members of the national executive committee led by Minister Abdoulaye Bio Tchané.
