Nigerian megastar Wizkid has now surpassed 6 billion Spotify streams across all credits.
Wizkid is one of the forefront figures in the international export of Afrobeats, with his music earning him multiple international awards and sold-out venues. In another monumental feat, Wizkid has now crossed the 6 billion streams mark on Spotify as a lead artist, further extending his African record.
Wizkid has been at the forefront of exporting African music since 2015 when his single “Ojuelegba” gained international attention. In 2016, he was featured by Drake on the mega-hit “One Dance,” which became the first song to surpass a billion streams on Spotify, propelling Wizkid to international success.
