On the occasion of the fourth matchday of the Saudi Pro League, Tuesday night saw Al Nassr easily defeat Al Shabab (4-0). Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mané once again led their team to victory.

After their convincing 5-0 win against Al Fateh last week, Al Nassr returned to the Saudi Pro League on Tuesday night for the fourth round of matches. Playing at home, the team that finished second in the previous edition of SPL wasted no time in taking control. Cristiano opened the scoring with a penalty, after an opponent handled the ball (1-0, 13th minute).

Towards the end of the first half, Al Nassr was awarded another penalty, this time after a push in the back on CR7 in the opponent’s penalty area. The Portuguese forward converted the penalty himself to extend the lead for his team. This marked his fifth goal in two matches, truly remarkable. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner then turned into an assist provider for Sadio Mané, who sealed Al Shabab’s fate in the first half (3-0, 40th minute).

As the second half kicked off, the pace of the game slowed down a bit. It’s worth noting Ever Banega’s red card for a dangerous tackle. With ten players on the field, the visitors had little hope left, and Sultan Al-Ghanam sealed Al-Nassr’s victory by slotting the ball into the net shortly after Cristiano Ronaldo’s header hit the post (80th minute).

Following this victory, the Al-Nassr team climbs in the standings and reclaims the 6th position in the Saudi Pro League. In their next match, CR7’s teammates will face off against Al-Hazm.
