Ejected from Stade Brestois in the French Ligue 1 due to a heart condition, Noah Fadiga will not be retiring from sports. The Senegalese player has found a new club in Belgium.
Noah Fadiga won’t be hanging up his boots. Diagnosed with cardiac arrhythmia last month, which led to his departure from Stade Brestois, the right-back has found a new opportunity. The Senegalese player has signed a three-season contract with La Gantoise in the Belgian first division. “Our club has strengthened with Noah Fadiga, a 23-year-old winger. Noah arrives in Ghent as a free agent. Last season, he played in Ligue 1 for Stade Brestois,” his new team announced in a statement.
The son of former Senegalese international Khalilou Fadiga (38 caps, 3 goals) is thus joining a club he knows very well from his childhood (up until 2010). “KAA Gent is happy to offer Fadiga a new challenge. This marks a return to the club where he took his first steps as a young footballer. Noah has both Belgian and Senegalese nationality and has already been selected for the Senegalese national team. His name surely rings a bell. Noah is the son of Khalilou Fadiga, who also played for KAA Gent during the 2007-2008 season.”
