The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that it had destroyed 13 Ukrainian drones, some of them en route to Moscow, highlighting the escalating tensions between the two nations.
In an alarming escalation of tensions between Russia and Ukraine, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported early Thursday that a total of 13 Ukrainian drones had been shot down. Among them, 11 were intercepted near Crimea, while two others were headed toward the Russian capital, Moscow. This series of incidents follows similar attacks that have occurred in the past few days, intensifying concerns about the stability of the region.
According to the statement released on Telegram by the Russian Ministry of Defense, “two drones heading towards the city of Moscow were destroyed,” while “near the city of Sevastopol, two drones were hit by anti-aircraft defense, while nine others were neutralized by electronic warfare means, crashing into the Black Sea before reaching their target.”
These incidents highlight the growing importance of electronic warfare in modern conflicts, as well as Russia’s ability to defend its airspace.
