As announced in December 2023, Roseline Layo is not pregnant with her third baby. The announcement was simply made to attract attention to her, the singer has just notified.

Ivorian music diva Roseline Layo announced to her fan community on December 21, 2023, that she is pregnant. “I am pregnant. So you won’t see me on stage too much, because I will rest. It’s because of my pregnancy that I have lost some weight. I will rest when I am 6 or 7 months pregnant. But for now, I am still on stage. Don’t worry. I still have the capacity to do concerts,” she announced three weeks after her magnificent concert “Tout en blanc” at the Esplanade du Palais de la culture Bernard B Dadié in Treichville.

A feeling of joy mixed with disappointment has taken hold of her many fans. And for good reason, they would no longer see their favorite star performing for a while, but happy for her as she awaits her third baby.

Roseline Layo is not pregnant

But about two weeks after this surprising announcement, to everyone’s great surprise, the interpreter of the song “Môgô Fariman” backtracks. “In this world filled with malice, can a woman publicly announce on the web that she is pregnant? It was a little buzz to announce my birthday last December,” she said.

She continued, “For a while now, no one has anything to say about my outfits, no one says Layo doesn’t dress well. Even at my concert, there was no buzz around. No one made noise, no one pointed out mistakes and shortcomings. Usually, buzz, insults on social media increase the number of our subscribers. And it was also to provide content to the media, which really need it. As soon as I announced that I am pregnant, it made the rounds in the media. Otherwise, having a child right now is not something I lack the desire to do,” she added.

And to conclude, she made an important clarification. “Actually, conceiving a child is not my current priority. My youngest son is only two years old. If I get pregnant now, it could hinder my career. Often, what we say, even in jest, can materialize… Everything is in God’s hands. Currently, pregnancy is not at the center of my concerns. With the grace that God has granted us in 2023, we will work hard to continue making progress in 2024,” concludes Roseline Layo.
