A Beninese involved in a ritual crime case has been arrested by the Nigerian police. A Beninese citizen and three individuals of Nigerian nationality were apprehended earlier this week by the Lagos State Police in Nigeria. The suspects are allegedly involved in a ritual crime.
According to the information, the approximately 50-year-old Beninese man and his accomplices kidnapped a 9-year-old boy in Benin and took him to Nigeria with the intention of using him for a money ritual.
The Nigerian police investigation led to the arrest of the four criminals. As for the victim, he has not been found yet, but the police are continuing their investigation to unravel the tragedy.
Ritual crimes persist both in Nigeria and Benin, despite measures to eradicate the phenomenon.
