“Our player Thibaut Courtois has today successfully undergone surgery for a tear to the anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee by Dr. Manuel Leyes, under the supervision of the Real Madrid medical services. Courtois will begin his recovery process in the coming days,” the statement reads.
To cope with Thibaut Courtois’s extended absence, Real Madrid has welcomed Spanish goalkeeper Kepa. The former Athletic Bilbao player has arrived in Madrid on a one-year loan.
