Real Madrid resumed training on Sunday after enjoying two days of rest following their tour in the United States. Ferland Mendy, Dani Ceballos, and Arda Güler were absent from the training session due to injuries, as reported by Real France.
After a few days off, Real Madrid returned to training on Sunday to prepare for the opening match of the new Liga season, scheduled for next Saturday against Athletic Club. However, coach Carlo Ancelotti had to deal with a few absences. Three players from the squad were unfortunately unable to participate in the training activities due to various injuries. These players are defender Ferland Mendy, midfielder Dani Ceballos, and the new signing Arda Güler, all affected by different injuries.
Ferland Mendy, who has been a vital pillar of Real Madrid’s defense, is facing a right hamstring muscle injury. He is expected to be sidelined for about two weeks, though the timeline may be refined depending on the progress of his injury. On the other hand, Dani Ceballos is dealing with issues in the distal tendon of his right hamstring. This injury has kept him away from training activities for a while, and he is expected to miss around an additional twenty days of play.
Finally, Arda Güler, the new Turkish signing, has a problem with the inner meniscus of his right knee. Currently, Güler is undergoing conservative treatment to alleviate knee pain, and his progress will determine whether surgical intervention is needed for his recovery. The absence of these three key players is certainly a concern for Real Madrid at the dawn of the new season. However, with Carlo Ancelotti’s expertise at the helm and a relatively deep squad, the team will undoubtedly strive to overcome these obstacles and prepare optimally for the challenge that awaits them against Athletic Club next Saturday.
