Radio host Claudy Siar has voiced his outrage following racist remarks directed at the famous artist Aya Nakamura. He did not hesitate to express his frustration towards individuals harboring extremist views.
The possibility of Aya Nakamura performing at the upcoming Olympic Games in France was raised by President Emmanuel Macron, who aims to provide a spectacle that lives up to this global event. The presence of the talented singer of Malian origin could enrich the event.
However, this prospect was not met with enthusiasm by everyone, leading to racist backlash against Nakamura. These excesses triggered a firm response from Claudy Siar, who condemned the behavior of these individuals.
According to Antoine Léaument, an elected official from Essonne, “the reason why people do not want Aya Nakamura to sing Edith Piaf is simple. It’s called racism.” Claudy Siar, the renowned RFI host, also raised his voice in this matter.
