In response to a question, the new PSG signing, Milan Skriniar, believes that the next season might be the right one for Paris Saint-Germain to win the Champions League. However, he emphasizes the need for time.
As a recent addition to PSG, defender Milan Skriniar reached the Champions League final with Inter Milan in the previous season. Although he did not play a minute on the pitch, he witnessed the tension of such a match from the sidelines, which ended with Manchester City winning 1-0.
Now settled in the heart of the French capital, the Slovakian player has high ambitions: to lift the prestigious Champions League trophy with Paris Saint-Germain. His enthusiasm is evident as he prepares to proudly wear the colors of his new team. When asked if this transfer from Inter to Paris could be seen as a regression, considering the recent performances of both clubs in the Champions League, he responds without hesitation:
“No, not at all! It’s true that we reached the Champions League final this year with Milan. But Paris played one three years ago, so… We lost the last one, and PSG lost theirs too. Now, I feel that this year might be ours! But I don’t want to talk about that, anticipate such things. The best thing to do is to work hard, and we will see what happens on the D-day,” as reported by Footmercato.
