Kylian Mbappé has not been invited by PSG to the traditional media day organized by the French Professional Football League (LFP), according to information from RMC Sport this Wednesday afternoon. This is further evidence that the Parisian club is not ready to ease the pressure on their forward.
The summer transfer window continues to be marked by the Kylian Mbappé saga. Faced with his refusal to extend his contract expiring in 2024, PSG has decided to put him on the transfer list. And to force their player to leave the club, the Parisian leaders excluded him from the preseason tour in Japan. The image of KM7 at Parc des Princes has also been removed. Far from wanting to lessen the pressure on the Bondy native, Paris Saint-Germain has made a new decision.
Indeed, according to RMC Sport, the French capital club did not invite Kylian Mbappé to the media day, a day planned by the LFP in each Ligue 1 club to produce official photos for the upcoming season. Neymar and Marco Verratti also did not participate in this day, nor did the members of the “loft.” The non-invitation of the 2018 World Cup champion to the media event confirms the firm stance of the Parisian club, which is unwilling to give in to its player.
However, despite this decision, it is too early to conclude an imminent transfer for the player. Moreover, if his departure does not happen this summer, Mbappé will have another opportunity to participate in a photo session, usually organized after the transfer market closes. As a reminder, following his refusal to extend his contract with Paris Saint-Germain, the former Monaco striker has been relegated to the group of unwanted players, also known as the “loft.” He is therefore training separately from the main group.
