Sergio Rico was discharged from the Virgen del Rocío Hospital in Seville on Friday, nearly three months after his serious horseback riding accident. This news delighted his PSG teammates, particularly Kylian Mbappé. The Bondy native wrote a message on social media to convey his joy.
“The image of the day. You won’t see anything better. So happy to see you like this, my brother,” wrote the French PSG forward, commenting on a photo of Sergio Rico in the arms of his partner, Alba Silva. Before Kylian Mbappé, Luis Enrique, the coach of Paris Saint-Germain, had concluded his press conference with a few words for Sergio Rico: “I wish him a speedy recovery and all my support to him and his family.”
On his part, upon leaving the hospital, Sergio Rico expressed his gratitude to all those who supported him and his family through these trials. “I feel very excited, very happy, and I thank God. I thank my wife, my family, everyone who has been there… She spent 20 hours a day with me. I am very grateful and without her support, this would not have been possible.
