Via a message posted on its social media this Thursday, PSG announced that Ousmane Dembélé is taking over the number 10 left vacant by Neymar, who joined Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia.

Neymar’s departure left many PSG supporters in suspense, wondering who would have the honor of wearing the legendary number 10 jersey. Left vacant after the Brazilian’s move to Al-Hilal, the number quickly found a new holder. This time, Ousmane Dembélé has been chosen to wear this iconic number.

Recruited for 50 million euros from FC Barcelona during the summer transfer window, Dembélé is set to be one of the technical pillars of the team led by coach Luis Enrique. The young French talent brings a new dynamic to PSG’s game with his lightning speed, creativity, and ability to eliminate defenders.

“Of course, the first thing is to win titles, to make the fans, the city proud, and then to go as far as possible in the Champions League. Then, even if I don’t like to talk too much about myself personally, I hope to score a lot of goals, provide many assists, and bring joy to the fans. And I also come to learn. I think in football, you learn every day. Even if, as I said, I’m 26 years old, I’ve gained a bit more maturity, experience,” Ousmane Dembélé had said after signing his contract with PSG. Now he knows the number that will accompany him in his ambitions.
