A dangerous prisoner is the subject of an intensive manhunt following his spectacular escape from Chester County Prison in Pennsylvania.

Danelo Cavalcante, who had been sentenced to life in prison a few weeks earlier for the murder of his spouse, escaped on Thursday, August 31st, by scaling a wall to reach the roof before jumping into a less secure area for his getaway.

The Acting Director of Chester Prison, Howard Holland, revealed in a press conference that Cavalcante had managed to reach the roof by climbing the wall with agility. To leave the prison perimeter, it would have been necessary to cross two lines of barbed wire and climb over another wall.
