Cameroonian singer Indira has been at the center of a fake marriage scandal for the past few days. The young woman even implicated Cameroonian President Paul Biya in the affair to deceive internet users.
Is Indira already married? That’s the question that has been circulating on social media ever since the young woman appeared in a wedding dress. The photo was unveiled by Oswald Baboke, Deputy Director of the Civil Cabinet, who congratulated Indira in the caption: “Congratulations, my daughter Indira Baboke! I wish you much happiness.”
The post generated a wave of congratulations from internet users. Comedian Peupah Zouzoua also shared the same photo with the following words: “I leave everything to God, in God’s hands, oh yes, it’s true that Jesus’ unripe mango is already ripe. Tied to a man to form ONE? The young artist published this welcome sign that we often see at weddings, ‘no photos please,’ that was the requirement for this event celebrated away from the I-join-anything-that-I’m-not-invited-to mentality that we are.”
President Paul Biya implicated? As the images were making waves on the internet, Cameroonian President Paul Biya made an appearance. According to local media, the President of the Republic was implicated in this buzz. Apparently, Paul Biya’s Facebook account commented on Oswald Baboke’s post to congratulate the bride.
This situation was denounced by whistleblower Paul Chouta, who accused Oswald Baboke of using Paul Biya’s page to create buzz around his daughter Indira’s project. “To make the buzz around his daughter, singer Indira, credible, Oswald Baboke, Deputy Director of the Civil Cabinet, used the Facebook page of Paul Biya, the President of the Republic,” he wrote.
However, according to reports, young Indira did not get married. The young woman, who was rumored to be in a relationship with Ivorian singer KS Bloom, wanted to generate buzz before the release of a new song. As a result, the image was taken from a music video that will soon be available.
