Very active in the transfer market with already 8 new signings, Chelsea also knows how to sell. The Blues have transferred the promising 18-year-old left-back, Lewis Hall, to Newcastle United. The Magpies announced the news on Tuesday morning through a statement.
“Newcastle United has signed defender Lewis Hall on a season-long loan from Chelsea. The agreement includes an obligation to purchase for the Magpies to make the transfer permanent next summer based on performance-related criteria,” the statement from the Black and Whites reads.
The young 18-year-old full-back is recognized as one of the most promising talents from the Chelsea Academy, having made 12 appearances with the Blues’ first team. Among these appearances, he started in both Premier League matches against Newcastle United in the previous season.
His exceptional journey through the academy was crowned with the title of Player of the Year for the 2022/23 season, an achievement he accomplished just two years after Tino Livramento also received this recognition. This distinction was awarded to him on the Stamford Bridge pitch before a 1-1 draw against the Magpies in May.
