“Chelsea is delighted to confirm the signing of French international Axel Disasi from Monaco. The center-back has signed a six-year contract at Stamford Bridge and arrives with a rich experience at the highest level. Disasi has made 130 appearances in Ligue 1, has been capped four times by France, and was part of his country’s squad for last year’s World Cup in Qatar,” wrote the Blues.
According to Footmercato’s information, the London leaders have dug deep into their pockets to persuade their Monaco counterparts to let go of Axel Disasi. The Blues invested 45 million euros to recruit the 25-year-old player. An investment that the club is nevertheless very proud of.
“Axel has shown his quality over several seasons in France, and this deserved to be recognized on the international stage. He is ready to take the next step in his career, and we are thrilled that it is with Chelsea. We welcome him to the club and look forward to seeing him join Mauricio Pochettino and his new teammates in the coming days,” said co-sporting directors Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley.
After signing his first professional contract with Reims, Axel Disasi joined Monaco in the summer of 2020. With Chelsea, he will experience the third club of his young career.
