In a statement released this Monday, Atlético Madrid has announced the signing of the Spanish prodigy Samu Omorodion from Granada.
The Madrid-based club triggered the release clause of the young striker, which was estimated at 6 million euros. “Samu Omorodion is already a new player for our club, with whom he has signed a five-season contract after successfully completing the relevant medical examination by the Vithas Invictum Sports Medicine Unit,” wrote the Rojiblancos in their announcement.

His initial football experiences took root in the Sevilla FC academy, where he honed his skills until 2021. Subsequently, he moved to Granada to continue his progression.
Born on May 4, 2004, in Melilla, Samu Omorodion made his debut in the Spanish football elite on August 14 in a Liga match against Granada CF at the Cívitas Metropolitano Stadium. During this match, he scored a valuable goal for his team, Granada CF.
In the previous year, his contribution proved crucial to the Granada reserve team, where he managed to score 18 times in the second RFEF. These achievements played a significant role in his team’s promotion. His exceptional performances did not go unnoticed by the Spanish under-19 national team, which spotted him and included him in their ranks.
