Trained at La Masia, Spanish attacking midfielder Alex Collado is leaving FC Barcelona for Real Betis. The Sevillans announced the news on Thursday via a statement on their website.
“Real Betis Balompié and FC Barcelona have reached an agreement for the transfer of Álex Collado. The Catalan midfielder is thus committing to the green and white club until 2029,” Betis stated in their publication.
Coming from La Masia, the 24-year-old player unfortunately never managed to establish himself within the first team. Having had the opportunity to wear the FC Barcelona shirt on only two occasions, the former U19 international for the Rojita decided to join Verdiblancos for free, who also welcomed Isco on Wednesday.
“Álex Collado (Sabadell, 1999) began his professional football career in the youth ranks of Gimnàstic Mercantil and RCD Espanyol. He then joined FC Barcelona and climbed the ranks until making his debut with the first team during the 2018/2019 season. In January 2022, he was loaned to Granada CF, and last season, he enjoyed another loan, this time to Elche CF,” Betis detailed in their publication regarding their new player.
