Coming off an exceptional season on a personal level, with 5 goals and 7 assists in just 27 appearances for FC Porto, Otavio had become a central pillar of the team.
However, despite his impressive performances, the midfielder made the bold decision to leave the Portuguese club, with which he was under contract until 2025. This decision took everyone by surprise, especially since he had spent seven seasons with the Portuguese club.
