A 21-year-old woman identified as Sukura Owodunni reportedly suffered burns from a pastor, Taiwo Odebiyi, during an attempt to deliver her in his Cherubim and Seraphim Maberu parish located in Offin, Ogun State, Nigeria, as reported by local media.

According to PUNCH Metro, the incident occurred on August 17th. A congregant of the Cherubim and Seraphim Maberu church in Offin, Ogun State, was invited by her pastor for a special prayer. The purpose was to deliver her from satanic forces that were believed to have taken refuge in her body.

The clergyman allegedly instructed the congregant, one Sukura Owodunni, to come with perfume, local eggs, and a candle for the special prayer. As he was praying for her, the pastor reportedly poured perfume on her body and lit the candle. Immediately after the servant of God lit the candle, Owodunni reportedly caught fire, causing severe burns to her chest, shoulder, and legs.
