Appointed to the position of Prime Minister by a decree issued by the President of the National Council for the Safeguarding of the Nation (CNSP), General Abdourahamane Tiani, Ali Mahamane Lamine Zeine did not turn down the offer.

Following the publication of the decree announcing his appointment as Prime Minister of the Nigerien Transition, Ali Mahamane Lamine Zeine arrived in Niamey on Wednesday, August 09, 2023. He left Chad to answer the call of the military in power in his country.

Upon his arrival, the new Prime Minister was welcomed by Colonel-Major Amadou Abdouramane, the Spokesperson of the CNSP, and the Chief of Staff of the President of the CNSP, Minister Soumana Boubacar.

The Prime Minister proceeded to the presidential palace for a meeting with the CNSP President, General Tiani. Ali Mahamane Lamine Zeine is well-known for his experience in public affairs management, accumulated over several years both within and outside the country.
