In January 2018, Necy N’dry, a familiar face, bid farewell to the production team of the beloved Ivorian television show “C’MIDI,” in which she had been involved since 2014. Necy was in charge of presenting the culinary segment of the show, showcasing her expertise alongside her co-host Marcellin Govoei, until her departure.
Contrary to rumors, there was no disagreement between Necy and the boss, Joseph Andjou. In reality, her transition to a new show was decided amicably.
“One morning, I was at home, you know how it goes. We were waiting to see what the next season had in store for us when I received a call from Mr. Joseph Andjou. He told me, ‘Well, you won’t be doing C’MIDI anymore, starting from the next season, you’ll be on Matin Bonheur. You’ll be joining the Matin Bonheur team,'” she shared in an interview with Polha Gouré from the local television.
The Basics of the “Morning Happiness” Transition
The reassignment of Necy was based on a strategic decision made by Joseph Andjou. “Later, he explained that C’MIDI needed to remain focused solely on entertainment. Since my segment was centered around well-being and dietetics, they decided to reconfigure the morning show, ‘Matin Bonheur’. Given my expertise in wellness and dietetics, I was integrated into the morning team alongside Marcellin Govoei and Eva Amani at the time,” she explained in great detail.
This “change” turned out to be a simple reorganization, with no impact on the relationships between Necy N’dry and her colleagues, including Alisar Zena and Jessica Bamba, who still maintain close friendships.
