The Togolese beauty queen, crowned Miss Togo 2023, has traveled to Mumbai, India, on February 17, 2024. She is there to participate in the prestigious 71st edition of the Miss World competition.
The initial competition, which was scheduled to be held on May 23, 2023, in the United Arab Emirates and then postponed to December 16, 2023, will finally take place on March 9 in Mumbai, India. Like Mylène Djihony, Miss Ivory Coast 2023, Chimène Moladja flew out from Gnassingbé Eyadéma International Airport on Saturday, February 17, to represent Togo in this global event.
“I am happy to announce that I have just hit the road to represent our beautiful country Togo at the Miss World 2024 contest,” she shared on her Facebook page.
A crowd made up of her runner-ups, family, close friends, fans, and former beauty queens, as well as Nathalie Yao Amuama, Miss Togo 2024, accompanied by her two runner-ups, went to the airport to bid farewell.
Chimène Moladja makes a historic turn by being the first representative of Togo at the Miss World contest. At 24 years old, she has the honor and responsibility to promote her country in this prestigious international event. “It’s an incredible experience and I am so grateful to be able to carry your colors,” added Chimène Moladja.
