Napoli’s president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, stated that from the Saudi Professional League’s side, the €100 million offer from Al Hilal for Victor Osimhen could only buy the striker’s shoes.
De Laurentiis emphasized that Al Hilal’s €100 million offer was far below the player’s value. The prominent president of Napoli had already rejected two offers from Saudi Arabia for their Nigerian striker.
“The dreaded Arab offer for [Victor] Osimhen has so far been around €100 million. And someone would say: ‘You’re not even buying us shoes’,” he told the Italian media Calcium Napoli 24.
In its Tuesday publication, the newspaper La Repubblica reported that the Saudi giant would be willing to spend €140 million to secure the services of the Super Eagles’ center-forward, who had 24 appearances and 15 goals last season. An amount that the Arabian Peninsula giant intends to increase, determined to acquire what will undoubtedly be the jewel in their crown.
