In comments given to the English press and relayed by RMC Sport on Thursday, Jack Grealish reflected on his wild celebrations after Manchester City’s treble last season.
During the previous season, Jack Grealish achieved the remarkable feat of winning the Champions League, Premier League, and FA Cup with Manchester City. As the new season begins, the former Aston Villa player discussed his celebratory parties, videos of which went viral worldwide.
“It was a whirlwind,” the winger admitted. “For the two or three weeks that followed, I didn’t really grasp the situation. Now, it’s been some time, and I’ve come to accept it. Those were the best weeks of my life,” the Three Lions international told the English media, as relayed by RMC Sport. However, Jack Grealish knows that period is now behind him and is already looking ahead to the upcoming season.
The English winger also revealed that he is determined to win the Community Shield on August 6th against Arsenal. “I told some of my teammates that I absolutely want to win the Community Shield. It’s my third year here, and I’ve lost two of those finals. As a footballer, you want to win as much as possible, but you also want to win everything once. That’s what I want,” he asserted.
He added, “We have a fantastic group, and I hope it will continue.” On Sunday, Manchester City will have a friendly match in Seoul, South Korea, against Atletico Madrid. It’s worth noting that the Cityzens will kick off their Premier League season on August 11th with an away game against Burnley.
