Implicated in a fraud case involving the online money investment platform Omega Pro, Beninese rapper Blaaz asserts himself as a victim. The artist opened up in a private conversation that has been circulating on social media since the morning of Tuesday, August 22, 2023.
The online money investment company Omega Pro is accused of fraud by several Beninese individuals who claim to have lost access to their withdrawal accounts since November 2022. The image of Beninese rapper Blaaz is linked to Omega Pro due to his participation in their conference and his posts praising the brand on his social media.
Therefore, in an attempt to recover their vanished money, many victims expressed their frustration towards Blaaz. According to them, they believed in it because the artist is a leader to them and they thought he was the only one who could help them retrieve their funds.
Quizzed about the situation in a private conversation with one of his close associates, Blaaz attempted to justify his involvement. According to him, he is not the only celebrity associated with Omega Pro. “You’ve only seen 4 photos. There are many more,” the artist justified, sharing images of several other stars who have also sided with Omega Pro.
“I have invested in Omega Pro, and I also have money in it, but because I am aware of the risks associated with online investments, I can’t speak very clearly about this matter. But for sure, I will. Some have criticized me, others have defended me. I take away one thing: before, you were innocent until proven guilty, but with social media, you are guilty until proven innocent,” he revealed.
According to Blaaz, he would never involve his circle in shady affairs. “People tarnishing my name are only a result of my image associated with OMP (Omega Pro). It’s a lesson for me, like all customers, I am just a victim,” laments Blaaz, whose image has been clearly linked to Omega Pro.
