Cindy Le Coeur, the artistic director of Congolese singer Koffi Olomidé, lost her mother on Friday, July 28, 2023, in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
Sad news for Koffi Olomidé and his artistic director, Cindy Le Coeur. The mother of the latter passed away on July 28th, exactly one year after the death of her father. The sad news was made public by Grand Mopao on his Twitter account.
“Friends, it is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of Mrs. Antoinette Nzumba, the mother of Honorable Cindy Le Coeur, which occurred this Friday in Kinshasa,” announced Koffi Olomidé. As a reminder, in July 2022, Cindy Nkunku, also known as Cindy Le Coeur, lost her father, Seba Nkunku, at the Ngaliema Hospital in Kinshasa.
Cindy Le Coeur took her first steps in music in the early 2000s as a gospel singer alongside the chantre Kool Matopé. In 2007, she decided to leave gospel music and joined Koffi Olomidé’s Quartier Latin group. She has been serving as the artistic director there to this day.
