After being absent since May 14th due to injury, Paul Pogba returned to play on Sunday during Juventus Turin’s draw against Bologna (1-1). After the match, Pogba revealed that he aims to get back to his best form and win trophies with the Turin side.

Coming on for the final half-hour of the Serie A match against Bologna (1-1) on Sunday, the French midfielder stated in a DAZN interview after the game, “I’m happy to be back on the field, to be able to do what I love above all else in the world, to feel good physically, and to be able to help the team.”

The French international (91 caps, 11 goals) mentioned feeling “a little disappointed with the result,” even though he showed good things during his half-hour on the field. He notably provided the pre-assist for Dusan Vlahovic’s equalizing goal (80th minute). His strong return sets the stage for significant ambitions going forward.

“Now that I feel very good physically, I want to get back to the top. (…) I’m so hungry. I’m only 30 years old, I want to win trophies and bring joy to the fans,” he asserted, as reported by RMC Sport. As a reminder, Pogba had only played 10 matches in the 2022-23 season before missing the World Cup with the French national team in Qatar.
