On his Facebook page on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, John Dumelo, Ghanaian actor and politician, announced the passing of his mother, Mrs. Antoinette Ama Ampomah Dumelo, at the age of 71.
The actor Dumelo, who is visibly broken by his mother’s death, took to social media to write a heartfelt message that said, “My heart is broken. My dear mother passed away yesterday… my greatest supporter,” he declared.
It’s no secret that John Dumelo and his mother shared a strong bond, evident in how frequently he showcased her on social media. Their striking resemblance also becomes evident whenever he shares a post about his mother. However, the cause of her death was not specified.
It’s worth noting that the death of John Dumelo’s mother occurred shortly after he was declared an uncontested candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), preparing to contest the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency seat in the upcoming elections.
